These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Halt Scanner mobile application ("App") published by Hampton Capital ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Description of Service

Halt Scanner monitors NASDAQ trading halts in real time and provides users with halt data, countdown timers, enriched market data, and push notifications. The App retrieves publicly available data from the NASDAQ trader RSS feed and FinViz.

2. Subscriptions

The App offers auto-renewable subscription plans ("Premium") that unlock additional features including live countdown timers, enriched market data (price, volume, float), and push notifications.

Free Trial: New subscribers may be eligible for a 7-day free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription.
Billing: Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase (or at the end of the free trial). Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Prices: Monthly and yearly subscription options are available. Prices are displayed in the App and may vary by region.
Cancellation: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Refunds: All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store, and all refund requests are handled and decided by Apple under its standard policies. To request a refund, use Apple's “Report a Problem” page (reportaproblem.apple.com) or your Apple ID purchase history. If you request a refund, you consent to our sharing information about your usage and consumption of the App with Apple, including your activity in the App and your purchase history, to help Apple resolve your request. Apple makes the final decision on all refunds.
Legacy Users: Users who purchased the App before it transitioned to a freemium model receive lifetime Premium access at no additional cost.

3. No Financial Advice

The App is an informational tool only. Nothing in the App constitutes financial advice, investment advice, trading advice, or any other kind of professional advice. You should not make any financial decisions based solely on information provided by the App. We are not a registered broker-dealer or investment adviser.

4. Data Accuracy

While we strive to provide accurate and timely information, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data displayed in the App. Trading halt data is sourced from public feeds and third-party websites that may experience delays, errors, or outages. You acknowledge that the App may occasionally display incorrect or outdated information.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or infrastructure
Redistribute, sublicense, or resell access to the App
Use automated systems to scrape data from the App

6. Intellectual Property

The App, its design, code, and branding are owned by Hampton Capital. All rights are reserved. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hampton Capital shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to financial losses from trading decisions. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App or subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted within the App or on this page. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
